Lt. Col. Ogor Ijeoma Kingsley stands among Delta State’s most accomplished figures in public health, environmental health science, and military medical leadership. A Fellow of the African Institute of Public Health, he has built a respected career marked by academic depth, operational excellence, and a steadfast commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s health security framework.
An Environmental Health Consultant and certified Public Health Emergency Manager (PHEM), Kingsley is widely recognized for his expertise in preventive medicine, disaster response, occupational health, and environmental protection. His work in the Nigerian Army and across civilian institutions continues to influence health policy, professional training, and community-based health preparedness.
As a PhD researcher in Public Health at Novena University, Ogume, Delta State, he focuses on epidemiology and emerging infectious diseases, contributing to national and regional understanding of disease transmission. His research publication, “Epidemiology and Preventive Strategies of Monkeypox Virus,” remains a critical reference in discussions on zoonotic disease control.
From 2022 to 2023, Kingsley served as the Acting Director of Public Health for the Nigerian Army Medical Corps (NAMC). During this period, he coordinated key public health programs, strengthened disease surveillance across Army formations, and enhanced environmental health compliance in support of operational readiness. His leadership and innovative contributions were recognised at the highest level when he received the Chief of Army Staff Award in 2025, a prestigious honour bestowed upon officers who demonstrate exceptional professionalism, service excellence, and significant impact.

Between 2023 and 2024, he served as Chief Instructor and Head of the Faculty of Environmental Health at the Nigerian Army College of Medical Sciences in Ojo, Lagos.
