In a bid to rejuvenate the spirit and essence of Warri, the Warri Boys Social and Welfare Society (WBA), Lagos, is embarking on a transformative journey through an insightful webinar series. The initiative, set to commence on April 20, 2024, aims to foster discussions on the past, present, and future of Warri, with esteemed speakers and stakeholders sharing their perspectives.
The President of WBA, Mr. Matthew Ogagavworia, FCA, alongside the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alex Eyengho, a seasoned filmmaker and media consultant, announced this groundbreaking endeavor in a recent press statement released in Lagos.
The inaugural edition of the webinar series will feature distinguished speakers, including Mr. Vwede J. Obahor, a renowned poet, filmmaker, and business advisor, who will delve into the topic “The Warri We Want: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” Additionally, Mr. Eriata Orhibhabor, popularly known as Di Poet, will shed light on “Strengthening the Social, Cultural, and Traditional Values of Warri through Arts and Literature.” The President of WBA, Mr. Ogagavworia, FCA, will moderate the discussions, which are scheduled to take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
The target audience for this enlightening webinar includes stakeholders in the Warri project, government officials at both State and Local Government levels, members of the political class, aspirants, key players in the oil and gas industry, journalists, and other interested parties.
