Chief Andrew Evuarherhe Efekokha (JP) was born into the Family of Thomas Efekokha Onojovwo and Onaewu Oshirim, both from the then Bendel State, which is now Delta and Edo State respectively, who is from Agbarha-otor, Ughelli-North Local Government, Delta State. He lived with his paternal Grandfather, the Late Pa Onojovwo Ukochovwera most of his early days before Papa passed and later moved in with his uncle, Benjamin Onojovwo.
He had his Basic Education in Benin, Edo State and then ventured into Rubber Latex Business with his Uncle. He had earlier learnt and practised Fish Farming along the line in his Childhood. He also worked at Dumaz Factory where he was exposed to Mechanical Engineering skills after which he joined Strabag Company where he laid foundation of his Fortune. His career went through Forklift Operator, Crane Operator, Heavy Duty Machineries Operator and on till he became a supervisor in Mechanical Engineering Department. He was exposed from being a National Class Standard to Supervisor and Leadership level in his career life by different Career Development Programs offered by his last place of work, Osogbo Steel Rolling Mills Company (OSRC), owned by Federal Government, now known as Integrated Steel Plc of Dangote Group. He retired as a Coordinator and went into full time business.
Due to his unblemished track record and landmark achievements, he won several awards which spanned across his core job roles. Shortly after his retirement, he was recommended by one of his former colleagues to a Foreign Company in US. He was invited to join the company after some days engagement which is targeted to enabled him to continue his career outside the country, but he declined the offer due to personal reasons.
He is a man of the people and has a great sense of Humanitarian Service as stated below
- He was a Union Chairman at Osogbo Steel Rolling Mill Company (OSRC) for several years.
- He was part of those that founded the Urhobo Youth Progressive Club, now Urhobo Social Elite Club and served the club as the chairman for many years before he left the position and became a Patron till this day.
- He was the Pioneer President of the prestigiousOsogbo Steel Rolling Mill Company, Osun State Chapter and due to his meritorious service during his leadership, he was made a Patron to the Union.
- He became a titled Chief in Agbarha-Otor Kingdom in the year 2013, as a result of his contribution to the Urhobo People, Culture, Heritage and the Entire Nation which was confirmed brought glory and honour to the Kingdom. The King of Agbarha-Otor Kingdom, HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga (JP), Ebelle Okorefe 1, summoned him for this deserving position due to his merit and track record of excellence and achievements.
- He was sponsored to Israel and Egypt and thereby became the first Jerusalem Pilgrimage (JP) in 2004, under the administration of Retired General Olagunsoye Oyinola, the Governor of Osun State which was his Friend till date. He also bagged his second JP when he became a Justice of Peace in Osun State in 2016 under Engr. Rauf Aregbesola administration as Governor due to his humanitarian influence in the State; especially in settling Civil matters which has contributed to peace in Osun State.
He is a Husband, a Father and a grand Father, a lover of Children and a shield to all his Children, his room is always a place of refuge for every Child that gets sick at their young age. Once they get to spend a night in his room, they will at least have a notable recovery.
Chief Andrew E. Efekokha is also spiritual and a lover of God, he never missed a Sunday Service except on a journey. He was moved by the Holy Spirit to the Catholic Church by a dramatic experience and has been rooted and grounded. He was a PPC member, a Society Harvest Chairman and the current Chairman of the Holy Cross Society. He hilariously happens to be one of the few who gives Goats/Rams to the Church for Thanksgivings. In recent time, He joined the Precious Blood of Jesus Group and has been a committed member, who takes Holiness as their core values, yield to righteousness and discipline.
He has a beautiful wife name Rose Efekokha with children (male and female). He is a role model to most of his children (both direct and indirect children).
