1. N10 billion as Social Investment to fund palliatives for Deltans.
2. Reconstruction of Upper and Lower Erejuwa Roads in Warri
3. Rehabilitation of Esisi Road from Warri Sapele Road to Estate roundabout with a spur to Nana College to link Ajamimogha in Warri.
4. Rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of the failed sections of PTI Road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area
5. Rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Oviri Court-Adagbrasa Road in Okpe Local Government Area.
6. Rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Ohorhe-Adagbrasa-Ugolo-Okuodiete road with a spur from Adagbrasa to Ughwagba community to Okan junction along the Eku-Osubi-Effurun Road in Okpe Local Government Area.
7. Construction of roads around Otovwodo junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area
8. Construction of Nsukwa-Umute-Adonte Road Phase 1 from Nsukwa to Umute in Aniocha South Local Government Area.
9. Remedial works for the failed approach to the bridge at Bedesegba along Ohoror-Bomadi Road in Bomadi Local Government Area.”
10. installation of all-in-one LED solar-powered street lights along NPA – DSC Expressway and its environs in Uvwie and Warri South Local Government Areas.
11. Payment of the 2023 counterpart fund for the Universal Basic Education Programme and for the organisation/hosting of the 7th Edition of the National Youth Games in the state”.
12. Approval for N40 billion credit facility offered to the 25 local government councils in the state to defray a substantial part of outstanding retirement benefits to local government pensioners.
The questions I ask are as follows:
The Governor wants to do this with Palliative Money meant to assuage the effects of fuel increase. This is actually what Okowa did with Delta State IGR and Allocation from Abuja for 8 years. So what’s new?
So what will he do with the state funds for the past months he has been in power?
How is the 10 billion for social welfare going to be disbursed?
Is the #10,000 announced for Civil servants meant to be owed a Salary increase or parliative?
What plans are there to assuage the suffering or the masses that are neither Civil servants nor workers, the majority of those that use public transportation and buy fuel for their generation? Which makes up a more significant Chunk of the lower class?
Does he really expect us to be excited at this????
